Where we can help
An acquisition, an investment or a change in ownership. Start with the transaction you are considering and the stage you have reached.
Bring the acquisition documents, due diligence and completion requirements into a defined legal scope.
Prepare for the buyer’s questions, review the proposed sale documents and work through negotiation and disclosure.
Support transactions that bring in capital, change the ownership structure or establish a new venture.
How we work
The proposal names your DoesLaw lawyer and the work we will handle. Your appointed lawyer leads the matter and explains the decisions along the way.
Discuss the proposed deal, parties, available documents and timetable. Agree the legal scope, responsibilities and engagement terms.
Carry out the agreed due diligence or review the information being provided to the other side. Identify questions and further documents needed.
Prepare or review the purchase agreement, disclosure and supporting documents. Work through comments and unresolved points with you and the other parties.
Coordinate the agreed legal completion work, assemble the documents and identify any post-completion filings or actions within scope.
Useful answers
Yes. Describe the transaction you are considering and the documents you already have. We can discuss the legal work needed at the current stage before agreeing a scope.
Both are included in our transaction services. Tell us what is proposed and whether you are buying or selling. The engagement will identify the documents and work we will handle.
You can enquire about a particular workstream, such as due diligence, purchase documents or disclosure. We will confirm whether we can take it on and how it fits with the wider deal.
The engagement terms set out the agreed work and arrangements if the transaction stops. If the structure or scope changes, we discuss the additional work with you before proceeding.
